My legs hurt...

So...I have been standing for almost 14 hours straight...
I woke up after an awesome sleepover after rehearsal and went straight to voice lessons and found that my range has decreased by over half and octave since July...not good. I need to work on that.
But from Victor's house Mikaela and I went to rehearsal until 6ish and then I walked all over multiple times running errands (including a run back to my house due the the lack of ID) ...
And then I helped/am helping with Steph's birthday party and doing lots of dishes.

But voice is awesome...we are doing stuff from Little Women which is awesome!
Rehearsals are getting MUCH better. We have 4 left (!). It will be awesome though. Eventually, when Mika and I don't have to read other people's parts. That's never good. :) That should be starting Monday. So it's all good.

Everybody cut...

No. Not the emo cut.
:)
Although after looking at my homework for this weekend I did consider it (just kidding.)
:)
So Kelly and I were talking about Footloose and we both think it will rock socks...we talked about it all through physics....because we had nothing else we could do... :P
We both had homework but we were all tired from our difficult second period classes...
Yes...this is all...update over....well not really

So there is this room above the stage that is awesome and up high so no one ever goes up there... So I can go up there and think or sit and watch what's going on down below.

We had to clear the stage last night so the American Idol dude, Phil Stacey could come and sing to the school. I went and watched the second half after I became angry at my computer debugging skills. He was actually really good. I laughed because a lot of the middle schoolers didn't know and of the early 90s music he was playing but they danced and attempted to get the high schoolers to notice they existed. In turn the high schoolers decided to dance like crazy. So we danced.
And now...on to an awesome Saturday followed by a homework crazy Sunday...

I wore pigtails today...

I wanted to post. But that was all I had to say for now. :)
And Snish, you are not alone...grades are aparently random when you are a junior... where is the sanity in the world. :)
Sometimes life can be very droll.

Awesome filled day...

Pompeii was awesome. Today I spent 21 euro total for cornettos (yummy crossiants with nutella), transportation to and from Pompeii, entrance to Pompeii, a tour guide, gelato, pizza and a pomegranate (thanks to James who hopped the fence and got the fruit :) ).

We left school and headed to Pompeii listening to iPods and whatnot and as soon as we got there we got our tickets and met our tourguide who took us to the city center and all through the streets of Pompeii including a villa, the baths, the brothel, the bakery, and the theaters. All through the city we saw plaster casts of people who died in the eruption...some were covering their mouths with towels. Others who lay on the ground. And even a dog trying to escape his chain.

In the villa we saw awesome mosaics and everything else there...but we also saw a dog that was dubbed "Roxanne" (by us of course) with a broken leg, we sat and played with her for a while and then gave her a piece of beef jerky and moved on. She followed us for a while but then left to lie down again.

We went to the theater and ate lunch and plotted our journey to the exit, choosing to circle around the city going from the big ampitheater to the house of mysteries. After we finished eating we went to the bathroom and right outside in the wall was a cute little bat who was sitting there sleeping behind a brick.

The ampitheater was pretty neat. It was all grassy and outside there was a really cool courtyard that I liked.
Then we met another dog who looked alot like the first one as we looked over the city. We named this one Magenta Flurple Roxanne. She followed us until we left Pompeii even as we passed another little dog and its puppy which was adorable.
Afterwards it was time to go and get hazelnut and chocolate chip gelato and pizza. It was good. And then I fell asleep on the bus. Now its rehearsal time. The only down to this day is that I have math homework.
;)

Venice and Castles...

Venice was beautiful....these swans were not in Venice, they were at the castle in Sirmione which was also beautiful. :)

So Venice was freezing...well not that cold, but it was under 50 and that meant it was the coldest I had been in 3 years... But the first thing we did was cross the causeway which was built in the 30s to even GET to the main island. On the bridge we passed people rowing in gondolas. Now there's something you don't see every day. As soon as we got there and parked we went to the park and then spent the morning traveling slowly to Piazza San Marco. On the way we got gelato which didn't melt immediately for once. The Piazza was amazing, well the Piazza was amazing (all the pidgens which you can not feed anymore) but the church was astonishing. You just can't describe it. I mean, it's huge and shiny and magnificent and really old. They stole St. Mark from Egypt and put his remains behind an altar...yeah...but it really is neat...

On the way back to our car we rode the watertaxi (which was fortunate because it was closed the next day because of the transportation strike) so we traveled through the Grand Canal by giant crowded gondola (it wasn't so bad...we managed to grab seats in the front). There are huge palaces sitting right on the water, you would think they would get flooded constantly but I guess it's worth it otherwise they wouldn't build there. Venice is built on poles in the mud. I didn't really know that. Its a marble city built on sticks... I really am surprised it hasn't sunk. But I'm glad it hasn't, it's an amazing city. I want to go back during Carnivale, when everybody dons a mask and runs around. :) I bought a shiny blue mask for myself. Maybe I'll find a time to wear it eventually.

The next day (Monday) we went to the lake and to the little town, Sirmione. There was a castle with a drawbridge and everything! The castle was built in the 1300s. There were frescos painted on the walls in the church which were ancient and vibrant despite the many years they have been in existance. Behind the castle was a little town with Roman ruins and old roads and little shops (all closed because it was a Monday). And the beach was awesome. There were swans (the ones in the top picture) and Steph and I found seaglass and skipped stones. There were also hundreds of ducks in the water and chasing each other and waddling after each other in little lines. Lots of ducks. :)

Tuesday we drove home, passing through Vincenza and Verona. Verona looked really nice, we will go back eventually when it's not foggy. Coming back from Venice that first night it was so foggy we could barely see in front of us. And the next morning it was pretty foggy too. Actually it seemed as if it were foggy all the time except for a small window between 11 and 4 and on an occasional warmer day. I loved Northern Italy and it was well worth the 14 hours I had to spend in the car with my sisters to get there and back. :)

No School Tomorrow..

Or the next day, or the next day, or the next day, or the next day, or the next day...
Actually we have school on Monday, but not Tuesday...but STILL!
I have homework though...4 essay questions, 10 physics problems, labeling my house in Italian, and 12 math problems...

I go to Venice this weekend... :D
I loves me some Venice...ever since I listened to the Vivaldi tape (you remember the stories set to classical music your parents made you listen to in the car) where they went to Venice...my stuffed husky is named Vivaldi...he's cute..lol

Okay, now I'm just procrastinating...
Shoots...my sister is fussing...I need to go see what's up.

YAY! Into the Woods...

I JUST GOT CAST AS RAPUNZEL IN "INTO THE WOODS!" Possibly the best musical ever... classic musical that I could watch over and over! YAY! It's not until spring though, but I am still UBERLY exited! :) I first saw the show in the summer before 9th grade and loved it so much I saw it again. I listen to the music constantly and bought the DVD so I could watch it all the time. This should be fun. Lots of fun. And I finally think I got the note I was having trouble with in "Heaven Help Me/I'm Free." Good day. Good day.

Oh. And the lady reviewing my science project said it was the best she had seen yet. :)

Let's do the TimeWarp...AGAIN...

So last night was Spooktacular.... and it was AWESOME...
We headed down to the site at noon, after I had blow dried my hair so I looked like Mufasa...but I wasn't the only one, I was sharing the car with two Zombies. One was a zombie child who looked totally disheveled, and another Zombie with a stiff neck. :)

After we got down to the park at about a quarter till 1 we hung curtain after curtain of those black metalic strings. And of course I was just a tad short of being able to reach on flat feet, so I was on my tiptoes for a while. It was a lot of fun though with music blasting and a type of assembly line going...

Then we waited. And ran around. And ate brownies and gum. And danced. And sat in the grass and just talked.

Soon it was time to put on makeup... and lots of it. LOTS of makeup! Everyone who did the makeup was fantastic...and patient. I can't even tell you how many times I had to have the glitter on my lips redone. The Timewarp cast was SPARKLY! :) We looked crazy...almost like the makeup kit expoded on our faces. My own parents didn'e even recognize me. The Thriller cast was downright scary. Fake blood, head wounds, decaying flesh, stitched up faces and mouths, the works.

At 6 we started running the shows again and again... The lines to see the shows were huge! Everyone was impressed with what they saw, whether it was MIB, Thriller, or Timewarp. We got great feedback! Thriller made people jump and run, and MIB and Timewarp dance. By the end of the night we were all tired but I was still ready for more... Let's do the TimeWarp AGAIN! :D When we drove home people saw the Zombie driving and had very odd reactions of horror and laughter. I laughed. I laughed a lot, also because I was so tired I just needed to go to sleep. At one point I just sat on the grass and played with a streamer.

So Halloween was awesome. Nuff said.
