Happy New Year!...

After a long day exploring Naples....lots of fun and hot chocolate :)... I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Recently we went to Herculaneum (sp?) which is like Pompei but smaller and more well preserved because instead of buring ash, it was covered with 60 feet of mud... So that was pretty neat. It was a giant resort/summer house town by the ocean before it was covered and there are all these huge colorful villas and frescos...it really is nice...

And two days ago my mom and sisters and I drove up a mountain to see this medeival town not thinking about the hug amount of wind you have on mountains...so we weren't exactly prepared for the cold wind, but it was fun anyways. There are these churches and castles that were built in the 5th century and a ton of narrow little streets to explore....and the mountain view is astonishing. It was really picture perfect....green grass, stone walls, villas, colorful trees, sheep..the works... pretty cool if I do say so myself....

And now come the fireworks...well more of them, today people actually stopped traffic in front of a church (which is hard not to do in downtown Naples where there are usually 3 churches in the same square) to set of huge loud booming fireworks at about 1315...and the city fireworks don't even START until 0115...they like late nights here...
It should be a fun night!
Happy New Year!
Felice Anno Nuovo e tanti auguri per il nuovo anno!

I just realized how lame I was...

I never posted about our awesome shows out in town.
Well, they were really good. Saturday's was the best. Everyone brought everything they had and were really exited. We had a great audience and afterwards we had awesome hot chocolate in the cafe across the street (it was more like hot pudding it was so thick).

Sunday was really good, I got real Naples pizza down the 135 steps from the theater. If anyone comes to visit I will definately take you there. It was really really good. Before the show we had our little circle time where we talked about how much the show meant to us. It really had meant a lot to me. I really did not like where I was in August and did not know anyone, but then this group of people made a point to get to know me and welcome me into their family. It was amazing and I am glad I found Footloose. I am going to miss everyone who is leaving, they are all great people that I am glad I got to know.

If anyone wants pictures, once they are uploaded...all 1000 of them, I will pick a select few to send out but I will include the link to the rest if you want it...just email me...

But yeah, Footloose rocked socks...now you can move on to the other new post I posted today right below this one... :)

The Secret Life of Bees...

So most of you know that Footloose is done, and many of you know that our next show is going to be High School Musical, which should be fun because of the many cool people auditoning and running the show.

Because Footloose is done and now I am out of school I seem to have all this free-time (I have no homework this break!). So this morning I went to the Christmas party here, run as kind of a fundraiser, but it was pretty interesting. Then I went to the library to find a book or movie and came back with no books, a Seasame Street and Discovery Channel movie, and High School Musical on request. There are no books at this library...I should have checked some out at my school library.

At 5 I went to go to see "The Secret Life of Bees," because I had enjoyed the book and it had a pretty awesome team behind it. Anyways, it rocked. The actors were fabulous, the writing was great...it was just really good. Go see it if you get the chance.

By the way, what is this obsession people have with "The Dark Knight?" I do not understand it. We watched it during lunch and during math and it was shown during other people's classes on Friday too. *shivers* Creepy demented movie.

I am very jealous of all of you back in the states who have access to "Twilight." And those who have snow... I am jealous of you too.

:P

Footloose!...

So I haven't posted in ages...probably because I haven't been home because of killer rehearsals and shows every night for Footloose.

We had dress rehearsals every night except for Thursday last week and I became sick. I completely lost my voice Friday and could barely talk. Then one of the trio members lost her voice the next night and we had to cut a song. Sunday the rest of the trio covered for her beautifully. In all it is a pretty good show. The lighting is good and we have some AWESOME singers in our show! We did our first 3 shows at the high school. Our dressing room was the home ec room and guess what?! They had rolling chairs. So me and my friend responsibly scooted down the hall, not like crazy to cause us getting in trouble...just far enough to reach the piano and play and sing harmony for Jingle Bells. And Beauty and the Beast. And Part of Your World. And As Long as You're Mine. And The First Noel. And everything else we could think of. Oh! And Off to Massachusetts and Somethings are Meant to Be. Yes. It was fun. :D
I am now part of the 66% of the Junior class that has made honor roll. Quite honestly. 66%. I just think thats a crazy number of people to have fantastic grades. Anyways. A lot of people so deserve it though, they work crazy hard and get their 4.0s or higher.
I really should be doing my essay on success for humanities (again, what? humanities = art history, not self analysis). But I want to go and drink tea and make cookies. I love the smell of Christmas cookies...and just of Christmas. And the smell of a theater. But that's different. I have rehearsal downtown today, it should be pretty fun. The Italians have huge billboards for Footloose downtown!

Meh...

I have homework.

My legs hurt...

So...I have been standing for almost 14 hours straight...
I woke up after an awesome sleepover after rehearsal and went straight to voice lessons and found that my range has decreased by over half and octave since July...not good. I need to work on that.
But from Victor's house Mikaela and I went to rehearsal until 6ish and then I walked all over multiple times running errands (including a run back to my house due the the lack of ID) ...
And then I helped/am helping with Steph's birthday party and doing lots of dishes.

But voice is awesome...we are doing stuff from Little Women which is awesome!
Rehearsals are getting MUCH better. We have 4 left (!). It will be awesome though. Eventually, when Mika and I don't have to read other people's parts. That's never good. :) That should be starting Monday. So it's all good.

Everybody cut...

No. Not the emo cut.
:)
Although after looking at my homework for this weekend I did consider it (just kidding.)
:)
So Kelly and I were talking about Footloose and we both think it will rock socks...we talked about it all through physics....because we had nothing else we could do... :P
We both had homework but we were all tired from our difficult second period classes...
Yes...this is all...update over....well not really

So there is this room above the stage that is awesome and up high so no one ever goes up there... So I can go up there and think or sit and watch what's going on down below.

We had to clear the stage last night so the American Idol dude, Phil Stacey could come and sing to the school. I went and watched the second half after I became angry at my computer debugging skills. He was actually really good. I laughed because a lot of the middle schoolers didn't know and of the early 90s music he was playing but they danced and attempted to get the high schoolers to notice they existed. In turn the high schoolers decided to dance like crazy. So we danced.
And now...on to an awesome Saturday followed by a homework crazy Sunday...

I wore pigtails today...

I wanted to post. But that was all I had to say for now. :)
And Snish, you are not alone...grades are aparently random when you are a junior... where is the sanity in the world. :)
Sometimes life can be very droll.

Awesome filled day...

Pompeii was awesome. Today I spent 21 euro total for cornettos (yummy crossiants with nutella), transportation to and from Pompeii, entrance to Pompeii, a tour guide, gelato, pizza and a pomegranate (thanks to James who hopped the fence and got the fruit :) ).

We left school and headed to Pompeii listening to iPods and whatnot and as soon as we got there we got our tickets and met our tourguide who took us to the city center and all through the streets of Pompeii including a villa, the baths, the brothel, the bakery, and the theaters. All through the city we saw plaster casts of people who died in the eruption...some were covering their mouths with towels. Others who lay on the ground. And even a dog trying to escape his chain.

In the villa we saw awesome mosaics and everything else there...but we also saw a dog that was dubbed "Roxanne" (by us of course) with a broken leg, we sat and played with her for a while and then gave her a piece of beef jerky and moved on. She followed us for a while but then left to lie down again.

We went to the theater and ate lunch and plotted our journey to the exit, choosing to circle around the city going from the big ampitheater to the house of mysteries. After we finished eating we went to the bathroom and right outside in the wall was a cute little bat who was sitting there sleeping behind a brick.

The ampitheater was pretty neat. It was all grassy and outside there was a really cool courtyard that I liked.
Then we met another dog who looked alot like the first one as we looked over the city. We named this one Magenta Flurple Roxanne. She followed us until we left Pompeii even as we passed another little dog and its puppy which was adorable.
Afterwards it was time to go and get hazelnut and chocolate chip gelato and pizza. It was good. And then I fell asleep on the bus. Now its rehearsal time. The only down to this day is that I have math homework.
;)

Venice and Castles...

Venice was beautiful....these swans were not in Venice, they were at the castle in Sirmione which was also beautiful. :)

So Venice was freezing...well not that cold, but it was under 50 and that meant it was the coldest I had been in 3 years... But the first thing we did was cross the causeway which was built in the 30s to even GET to the main island. On the bridge we passed people rowing in gondolas. Now there's something you don't see every day. As soon as we got there and parked we went to the park and then spent the morning traveling slowly to Piazza San Marco. On the way we got gelato which didn't melt immediately for once. The Piazza was amazing, well the Piazza was amazing (all the pidgens which you can not feed anymore) but the church was astonishing. You just can't describe it. I mean, it's huge and shiny and magnificent and really old. They stole St. Mark from Egypt and put his remains behind an altar...yeah...but it really is neat...

On the way back to our car we rode the watertaxi (which was fortunate because it was closed the next day because of the transportation strike) so we traveled through the Grand Canal by giant crowded gondola (it wasn't so bad...we managed to grab seats in the front). There are huge palaces sitting right on the water, you would think they would get flooded constantly but I guess it's worth it otherwise they wouldn't build there. Venice is built on poles in the mud. I didn't really know that. Its a marble city built on sticks... I really am surprised it hasn't sunk. But I'm glad it hasn't, it's an amazing city. I want to go back during Carnivale, when everybody dons a mask and runs around. :) I bought a shiny blue mask for myself. Maybe I'll find a time to wear it eventually.

The next day (Monday) we went to the lake and to the little town, Sirmione. There was a castle with a drawbridge and everything! The castle was built in the 1300s. There were frescos painted on the walls in the church which were ancient and vibrant despite the many years they have been in existance. Behind the castle was a little town with Roman ruins and old roads and little shops (all closed because it was a Monday). And the beach was awesome. There were swans (the ones in the top picture) and Steph and I found seaglass and skipped stones. There were also hundreds of ducks in the water and chasing each other and waddling after each other in little lines. Lots of ducks. :)

Tuesday we drove home, passing through Vincenza and Verona. Verona looked really nice, we will go back eventually when it's not foggy. Coming back from Venice that first night it was so foggy we could barely see in front of us. And the next morning it was pretty foggy too. Actually it seemed as if it were foggy all the time except for a small window between 11 and 4 and on an occasional warmer day. I loved Northern Italy and it was well worth the 14 hours I had to spend in the car with my sisters to get there and back. :)

No School Tomorrow..

Or the next day, or the next day, or the next day, or the next day, or the next day...
Actually we have school on Monday, but not Tuesday...but STILL!
I have homework though...4 essay questions, 10 physics problems, labeling my house in Italian, and 12 math problems...

I go to Venice this weekend... :D
I loves me some Venice...ever since I listened to the Vivaldi tape (you remember the stories set to classical music your parents made you listen to in the car) where they went to Venice...my stuffed husky is named Vivaldi...he's cute..lol

Okay, now I'm just procrastinating...
Shoots...my sister is fussing...I need to go see what's up.

YAY! Into the Woods...

I JUST GOT CAST AS RAPUNZEL IN "INTO THE WOODS!" Possibly the best musical ever... classic musical that I could watch over and over! YAY! It's not until spring though, but I am still UBERLY exited! :) I first saw the show in the summer before 9th grade and loved it so much I saw it again. I listen to the music constantly and bought the DVD so I could watch it all the time. This should be fun. Lots of fun. And I finally think I got the note I was having trouble with in "Heaven Help Me/I'm Free." Good day. Good day.

Oh. And the lady reviewing my science project said it was the best she had seen yet. :)

Let's do the TimeWarp...AGAIN...

So last night was Spooktacular.... and it was AWESOME...
We headed down to the site at noon, after I had blow dried my hair so I looked like Mufasa...but I wasn't the only one, I was sharing the car with two Zombies. One was a zombie child who looked totally disheveled, and another Zombie with a stiff neck. :)

After we got down to the park at about a quarter till 1 we hung curtain after curtain of those black metalic strings. And of course I was just a tad short of being able to reach on flat feet, so I was on my tiptoes for a while. It was a lot of fun though with music blasting and a type of assembly line going...

Then we waited. And ran around. And ate brownies and gum. And danced. And sat in the grass and just talked.

Soon it was time to put on makeup... and lots of it. LOTS of makeup! Everyone who did the makeup was fantastic...and patient. I can't even tell you how many times I had to have the glitter on my lips redone. The Timewarp cast was SPARKLY! :) We looked crazy...almost like the makeup kit expoded on our faces. My own parents didn'e even recognize me. The Thriller cast was downright scary. Fake blood, head wounds, decaying flesh, stitched up faces and mouths, the works.

At 6 we started running the shows again and again... The lines to see the shows were huge! Everyone was impressed with what they saw, whether it was MIB, Thriller, or Timewarp. We got great feedback! Thriller made people jump and run, and MIB and Timewarp dance. By the end of the night we were all tired but I was still ready for more... Let's do the TimeWarp AGAIN! :D When we drove home people saw the Zombie driving and had very odd reactions of horror and laughter. I laughed. I laughed a lot, also because I was so tired I just needed to go to sleep. At one point I just sat on the grass and played with a streamer.

So Halloween was awesome. Nuff said.

I am totally not crazy...

Poptarts are yummy. anyways.
i actually don't have much to say except my sarcasam is getting worse.
It's smokey out so I don't think I shall go run as I had planned too.
this weekend the homework load isnt too bad...although i do have 3 tests to study for.
but i only have physics (scoffs at her inability to do physics due to a lack of instruction) and an analysis for APUSH.

It is weird being friends with your sister's friends...you find out things you are not sure you want to know, even if they are about my sister. I mean. It's not a bad thing, I'm her sister and she can tell me these things...but my sister can't like-like people. It's weird. I don't think I'll be able to stand it when Emily turns 13. But by then I'll be 23...so its all good. Hey! By then I'll be done with school...by 2 years or so...wow...how can something seem so close and yet so far. It seems like just the other day I was in 2nd grade. But that was many miles away and years ago. Time moves fast. But in some ways it isn't fast enough. Like physics or APUSH or Humanitites...i think someone is literally holding back the clock during those periods.... and I want the clock to move faster.
But yeah. 7th Graders are weird.

Poo to you...

I have all this stuff to do and want nothing to do with any of it.
I'm tired of kids joking about setting off bombs.
I'm tired of 75 minute fire alarms.
I'm tired of teenagers who think that the world only extends to the city limits.
I'm tired of kids who don't give people time or a chance. Every day I see kids at school who are outcasted, I talk to them, but what help am I...
I'm tired of kids thinking that the movies come before the books.
I'm tired of the kids who don't understand that there IS a world out there, that we are living in a different country and it would not kill them to try to understand that they are different. Not Stupid. Not wrong. Just different. I can't imagine how the Italians perceive us.

Oh yeah, I'm also tired of homework. I want to be a teacher so I can NOT give homework.

I am also tired of stupid people.
Okay, rant over.

School...

School is driving me crazy...
Model UN is pretty dang cool...I think... but everything else is... I don't even know.

If I wasn't in high school and wanted to get a diploma to go to college... I would... I would do something worthwhile.

I need to learn how to write and how to think better... then just hand me a book. Don't just hand me the book and expect it to teach me. Books only have information. They can't teach you. That's why we have teachers I thought. Maybe I was wrong.

I saw old stuff...

I woke up early today (woot, day off from school) and went on a tour and saw the old Roman aqueduct piscina Mirabile, which was where all the water from the aqueducts was stored (read Pompeii by Robert Haris). We got to go inside it and look around, it was drained LONG ago...lol...so no water.

Then we went to the Flavian amphitheater saw all the old statues and seats and floor and little places to store wild animals and gladiators...and the place San Genaro was held and all the lions didn't eat him. We went underneath the amphitheater and saw the old staircases and stuff... was awesome. If anyone comes to visit *hint hint* I know some cool places to go now.

We also went to the sulfetera volcano and inside the volcano to the boiling mud and sulfur steam vents... the tour dude burned some paper near a steam vent and every other vent in the caldera exploded with steam. I believe it was called ionization.

But now I am tired. And have to go organize the 10/12 crates we got...stupid people still have 2 of our crates (bed-frames and stuff) somewhere on some boat and we will get it sometime eventually. We hope.

Tonight I go to Pompeii. After rehearsal.
Tomorrow. The true torture of homework attacks. Full force.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Long day...

Have you ever found yourself with homework...
If yes then have you ever done everything in your power to not do your homework... (aka make popcorn, watch Oprah, and read webcomics)...I think there is a word for this... *rolls eyes*

FOOTLOOSE!

I found a show! The producers are from Hawaii oddly enough....
They had me audition for the musical director who I believe has done some pretty big time stuff and may or may not know about the Aladdin musical which may or not appear in 3 years....
Well, anyways he asked me to sing something from Cinderella so I sang "Boys and Girls" and he asked me to sing "In My Own Little Corner" and he was like "How old are you?" and I told him and was all "Zomigosh, your voice is very mature, your vibrato is AMAZING and very THERE for your age...how do you DO that?!" Of course I was very very flattered...lol... but I'm in... I don't know exactly what I am doing yet, but I'm glad to be there... and just be in a show...

DUDE! There are more fireworks going off... they are there every night almost....
Anyways... cut loose!

I looked up when you came through the door.
Then your sword started swinging,
and I started screaming...
I tried to get through the trap door."

But you just wouldn't have it
So I shouted 'darn it'
And I realized that I had to pee"

Mock Trial '07

"KILL ZE BUNNY!"
"Moo-stache"
"Creon the Crayon"
"Emo Bug Boy"
"Whatcshh!*
"Spiderman can't wear eyeliner."
Spoon stabbing
Shiny new briefcases to leave our legacy

I know we have more... please remind me...

Woot! 50 posts!

I am procrastinating...

APUSH homework scares me... there's so much of it...

Sooooo....yesterday and friday were really fun...
Friday:
We travelled to Sorrento and got gelato and walked around and went to the park... which was much more fun than it sounds...

Saturday:
We went to Gaeta and looked at a fort/castle looking thing and tried to eat lunch during reposo... which ended with us at McDonalds.... I got a Toasted Ham and Cheese Happy Meal and it came with this little juice pouch which I tried and it had APPLESAUSE in it! SO COOL! Lol... then we drove to a store kind of like a Walmart and got some pasta and kindereggs, and the little mashed potato things (i think they are called crocets or something, i forget...)! Yum! and THEN...we went home and ate the pasta.

School hurts my back...

My bag is heavy... APUSH hurts my back and my head with its heavy hard-to-read book.

But on the plus side I get to take Model UN!
And and and that's going to be fun!

and i have humanities tomorrow and it shall be awesome!

Big brother's watching you...

Wow... I never really thought of grade programs as a way to "spy" and "watch every move" of student in a school... but my school obviously did...

The principal scared me half to death with her speech. She gave no other real information, just that they were watching us...
The middle school presentation was apparently much better... or so my mom says...

But anyways, I got to go and meet my teachers yesterday and it seems, as it does every year, that I am in over my head...

Here's the general gist:

Italian: Usual language teacher, she teaches Italian and Spanish but I don't think she speaks either fluently... but she seems to have a good plan and seems really nice.

APUSH: The man is crazy. 7/30 got 3s and 4s on the exam...only 5 got As in his class... can anyone tell me Perruso's stats?

Psysics: Seems okay...

Chorus: I'm not quite sure about it yet...she seems nice, but it's kinda new to me.

Most everything else is a blur...but AP Language...its gonna be crazy but fun...

I saw this puppy...

We were on a tour today out in town, when I saw the little mutt italian dog I thought he was cute so I was petting him and then the owner tried to give him to me...
too bad i cant have a doggie...
if i go back i shall take a photo of him and call him my puppy away from home.

Speaking of dogs... has anyone heard of the Alaskan Klee Kai... very very adorable mini huskies... not the real thing....but still very cute... and so tiny!

My humanities teacher just saved my butt...

I was walking to the library when I ran into her and asked about the reading list...and the book I couldn't find anywhere. She said...wait a sec, and then asked the office guy if he had a copy... he did... any she saved my butt... that is all.

oh. and i was crazy enough to give up my study hall for chorus when i have two AP classes, physics, pre-calc, bussiness, italian, and humanities.

I slept for 14 hours...

Stupid jet lag.

Well, we are here. Finally. And its, erm, interesting. The environmental club at the high school has got their hands full to say the least...

Everything here is so close, I shall be able to walk to school...and get up later and not catch the bus at 645...thankyouverymuch.

Life is interesting. Everything happens for a reason, I guess, so I might as well make the best of where I'm stuck...
:)
Email me people!

Pretty plants...

Today I got to sleep in (Yay!) and then we went to the mall because we are still stuck here and can't travel far. But anyways, we went to Khols, but we didn't go to Krispy Kreme (which makes me sad), and then we went and looked at the rest of the usual mall stuff (aka Bath and Body Works and Hallmark). But then we went to look at the pet store. They had the cutest puppies... they had a fluffy dog that looked like a black bear and a tiny brown chiwawa that marched like a little horse... I just wanted to sit and hug one all day long...

Then we went to the botanical gardens which were amazing with all of the roses and the little kids park... it was really nice...

And I just found out I have to be out of the hotel room in 20 minutes, so Ciao!

Dark Knight...

...Is possibly the most violent film I have ever watched. I almost left. The Joker was a great actor and I really like Christian Bale... but I was upset that the dialogue was not all that great. They had some fantastic actors there, and they didn't use them really to their full potential.

With all the violence and death and doom, I had hoped for more big explosions in the film... Also, I wanted a happy ending. Why go to a movie to see depressing stuff? If I wanted depressing stuff, I'd watch the news!

I think the US did very well last night in gymnastics and we shouldn't be focusing on that poor girl's fall. China was the favorite and they won. They sure did look a little young though... eh, the Americans looked older. It's everyones' height that messes with my mind. And that they all can do it all so well! Everyone that I saw preform was fantastic. Good job. Stepping up and preforming for your country is what the Olympics are about.

Enjoy life...

I am on my way to Italy... eventually.
Silly plane was delayed...This trip went by so fast, and I saw so much...

It's amazing how the country is alike, and how different...

We went out to eat after Busch Gardens yesterday and it was almost closing time but everyone was extremely polite and friendly. And the teenagers where we got ice cream in Maryland were polite and willing and ready to help. They overheard my dad ask for something and got it for him before he even addressed them...

I guess people here are just more content. They are fine with their jobs and aren't so worried about being ahead of others. I think people should just make the choice to be happy, what good does it do to be upset constantly. Enjoy life.

There are all these challenges that people complain about. But they don't DO anything. DO something.
Be part of a solution. Or at least enjoy what you do.

I'm sitting in a laundrymat...

I am sitting here in a laundrymat. Our stupid flight was delayed 24 hours. I am not a happy duck. I am ready to leave and be done with the hurry up and wait.

Yesterday I went to Busch Gardens and went on two of the five big roller coasters... I was very proud of myself.

Saturday, August 9, 2008

4 short days...

Till I wake up and I am in a different country.

So after my grandparents we headed up to Norfolk... taking the long stupid route from Orlando to NJ and then flying backwards on a propeller plane to Norfolk.

We met some friends who came down to meet us to go to the Breaking Dawn release and stayed up to go to that and got 4th place in line... to those who do not care: :P

The next day we went up to the place with the huge president heads and then to Williamsburg where it was hot.

Then we were in DC. We went to the Natural History and Air and Space Museum and the next day we went to monuments, and the day after that we just hung out and then went to great falls and my dad's college roomate's house. Wednesday we went to Arlington and the zoo so I could go and see the very cute pandas...

After the Zoo we drove up further North to visit family and friends. We went swimming and then yesterday went to Oregon Ridge Park and then to the Cow place and the Oriole game! 9-1!
The only run the Rangers got was off of their player who hadn't had a hit until this game... then he hit a single and then a home run... I was happy for him... until the crowd booed... :)

I have yet to see the Olympics. I heard it was neat but I didn't have time to watch because we were talking about world powers for a long time after the game... and once we started talking about snipers, my mom told me I had to go to bed... :P

High speed internet for the win...

I am now at my other grandparent's house where they have wonderful high speed internet...

This last week I was at the CDC camp which was awesome and I met some really neat people and made press conferences and podcasts...and generally just had a lot of fun...

I went to the aquarium where the sea otters were huge and adorable and the river otters were like stuffed animals... the river otters sat and chewed on a penny and woke each other up, very cute.

Stone mountain is interesting, a good place to spend the afternoon. We took the tram up and then walked down, and then missed the last train and had to find the way back to the car in the dark- lessons were learned...
:)

Wukulla springs is FREEZING! 69 degree water filled with fish, birds, alligators, and snakes and I swam in it to the dock... and then had to swim back...brrr...

:)

It's going to be a long 2 years...

I am missing everyone terribly...

This past week was awesome... spent a lot of time in labs and role playing which was awesome!
But I'm tired and dont want to write on this when I could be emailing all my wonderful friends...or writing their postcards (which will be send out eventually)
:)

Jet lag...

I can't believe it is already Thursday evening... I lost some time... and some sleep. I left the island at 12 in the afternoon and got to Florida at 6 in the morning...and got a grand total of 1 and 1/2 hours of sleep.

Before the flight there was a mad rush to use of gift cards for Jamba so my sisters and I got Jamba and brain freezes as we drank it very quickly...

The flight to LA was very nice, I got to have my pick of movies on the little personal screen and watched Penelope and Horton Hears a Who and then I got to listen to music for the rest of the flight. The flight to Florida was less restful because I was supposed to sleep but could not because it is so cramped on that plane.

As soon as we got to Florida my grandparents met us and we went to breakfast and I got pancakes, eggs, and bacon and proceeded to eat all of it because I somehow missed dinner. Then we drove, and I slept, and then we got to my other grandparents' house, and I slept. Once I was forced to wake up I played Chinese Checkers and ate pizza. And now I am doing computer stuff and missing everyone back home.

I hope everyone is doing well and do not hesitate to CALL ME! :)

They give insight on people's lives and their minds, but they do cause some issues...

The promised movie...

Only one is even partially worthy of posting...
These are my crazy competitive bowling friends and me and Snish behind the camera using strange voices...

Two more days...

AHHHHHHH!!!!!

Friday and Saturday were great and today was pretty good too... days are getting harder to stand, knowing that I am going to be leaving such amazing people and weather!

Rent was awesome on Friday... the girls were stronger than the guys, and I found it sad that more people had not auditioned, but good show... Emotional show though... Mimi and Maureen were fantastic...

Saturday was spend at the NEX getting my new messenger bag (it's so PRETTY!) and then hanging with Sarah and Carol at Town Center and the park... We started out at Zippys with me getting a grilled cheese and hash browns, then Carol met us and we loitered in every shop in town center, got root beer floats/doughnuts, wandered, and then went to go fly kites at the park... fun times

Today I ate too much at Big City Diner and then went downtown and got gelato and then went swimming...

Went downtown and went swimming and then to watch fireworks

Breakfast downtown, swimming, and then Ryan came over and played rummy (and owned to my dismay) and watched National Treasure, which I know word for word (to his dismay)

I'm going to miss everyone, more than you know... these last 3 years have been the best move of my life, best school, best friends, best atmosphere, best weather, best best friends...

Independence Day!

Today is one of those days that just makes you happy...

Knowing that for over 200 years, America has been there and tried (for the most part) to keep everyone safe and provide equal opportunities...

Thanks to the people who started it all!

Happy 4th of July!

Anna Millers

This was opening night of Cinderella (a while ago) where we all stay up late and eat food and be hyper...our dinner conversation consisted of us deciding what kind of drunks we would be... Later this was shared in Addie's car...I SO wish I had been there...

Crap...

Less than 18 days left.

Health...

Being trapped in a classroom for 6 hours is not fun...
The only reason I will survive health is that it is easy and I can find things to keep me busy...

Thursday-
Health, dentist appointment, having the left side of my face numb for 2 hours, Ryan being subjected to torture and watching 'Princess Bride'

Friday-
Health, writing letters, messing with the cube puzzle thing, meeting a kid in my class who lived in Naples, feeling abandoned, volunteering, dropping of my random letter with Ryan, and then making my poster for Health. Preparing a barrage of e-cards for tomorrow... Muahaha!

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

No more PE..

Tomorrow is my last day of PE...

Saturday-
My mom actually let me go out to see Hulk (Not as good as Ironman, but still good) and it was fun... I was very tired after I got home though...

Sunday-
Cleaned my old papers out and my mom's friend and her kids came for dinner...

Monday-
School, volunteering, shower, dinner, towncenter for too much coffee, and then to sleep. Oh! I got gmail back!

Tuesday-
School, talking to Ms. Walker, volunteering, home, gmail, shower, Camp Rock (Not half-bad), and then Legally Blonde: the Search for Elle Woods (One of the only Broadway reality shows known to man)

Tomorrow I have to take the bus home. And think about moving, which still really has not hit me...

Sunday, June 22, 2008

There are five hats...

To those who care, I drew it out and completely get it now... even more so than earlier... You are right, yeah yeah, I know "I told you so." Her hat has to be red.

I finally made it up to go and see what Ryan was up too and hung out there for an hour while they were resting, and tried to help cutting and cleaning and picture taking, and then remembered that even if there was a huge amount for me to do I needed to call people up and see if we were doing anything today...and we are. We are going bowling and then probably to see Forbidden Kingdom...

I REALLY DIDN'T MEAN TO ALMOST MAKE YOU STAB YOURSELF...
It's strange how much they knew about me...and how much they didn't, but I am extremely glad I was not shunned... and Ryan's friends are no stranger than Kendell. So there.

Saturday, June 21, 2008

Long day...

Friday-
We did nothing in PE, I walked two laps, played save the bacon twice and about 8 games of dodgeball. Then I volunteered. Then I went to Walmart. Then Ryan came over and we got to go walk and I almost made him stab himself and felt really bad. Then we dropped off som books at my mom's friend's house and then went to dinner at my dad's friend's house. Dinner was good, very good and dessert was good. We got to play on the Wii (Wheeeeeeeeeeee...) and I pwned in bowling. Then I went home and slept.

Saturday-
I cleaned out old papers, people came by to look at the house, someone came to check out our hot water heater, and now I might finally be able to go help Ryan with his project.

Friday, June 20, 2008

The Week...

Sunday-
Went downtown for breakfast and the pool, then I walked downtown and to the Army museum (where I felt scared that things were going to jump out and kill me) and then to the mall....

Monday-
Umm, so inconsequential that I do not remember.... But Ryan came back!

Tuesday-
School, Library, talking to Ryan, voice, Ryan being kidnapped. It's all good.

Wednesday-
School, Library, Ryan invading the library and not saying 'hi', rushing around, Kung Fu Panda (pretty cute and funny movie), Gilmore Girls with Mac and Cheese and Phish Food....yum...

Thursday-
Running around in the gym 17 times, ping-pong, dodgeball, the sickening movie "Supersize Me," passports and ya...that takes us to now, while I clean my room.

Sunday, June 15, 2008

Thinking and remembering...

I find myself thinking more and more as we come closer to moving, about people and memories, listening to old phone messages late at night, reading cards and yearbooks. I don't think I would change much, maybe little things so I could be closer to people; but in all, my past has gotten me here, and even though I'm leaving, I like the things around me and how things turned out.

Two more days until I can see Ryan... It has been a long week. I miss being able to talk to him. I hope he's having fun...

Enjoy camp...

Jake is being stupid and leaving before I am...

Friday-
Friday the 13th...the only bad thing was Grace seemed to have sprained her ankle on a path she has walked many times, despite the fact she had done other slightly more 'dangerous' things only minutes earlier. I got to hang out with the other two Musketeers, and argue about politics, before volunteering so I had fun. Then I went out driving and shopping till late.

Saturday-
Driving, then Lowes (Borders for me) and Sam's. After that I hung out at home and read and watched TV and wrapped Sarah and Jake's presents before going to the awesome dinner. Dinner was very yummy, we had calzones and asparagus and apple cider and vitamin water (the pink kind!) and a yummy espresso creme cake thingie. We ate and talked and saw Tiger and I had fun. It is extremely extremely sad I am not going to see one of the musketeers for two years after tonight. But I hope Jake, and Joel, have fun in San Fransisco and at camp, and I hope they know they will be visiting me-- even if I have to put Jake in a refrigerator box. Have fun at the parade!

Stupid...

Stupid drivers Ed....
Stupid driving hours...
Stupid me for not getting the driving hours...
Stupid rules...
Stupid driving test day...
Stupid moving...
Stupid leaving all my friends...
Stupid seniors having to go to college...
Stupid summer school, keeping me from my friends...
Stupid laziness that I am plagued with...
Stupid West Point...
Stupid stupid stupid.

*hugs herself*
stupid.

*hides under the covers*

Eww...

I am all gross from PE and running around it the humidity and the sun...

Wednesday-
Went to a party which was pretty awesome and got to hang out with people I sure hope I get to see again before I move... Then I went to the pool, the new pretty pool, with Carol and Jake before hanging out at my house and watching Indiana Jones and Pride and Prejudice... :)

Thursday-
Ran lots in PE and still failed to see the appeal of running long distances... We did a relay which was pretty fun, and then wrote an essay on the importance of PE. I pretty much stood there when we played soccer, not only because I rarely got passed the ball, but because I thought if I did get it, the silly 8th graders would kick my face off... The we watched part of "Facing the Giants" which is actually pretty good, and I am not a fan of football movies... Now I am going to take a nice shower...

And it is still going to be a long 4.5 more days...lol...
I don't think I am going to be able to get all my driving hours...which sucks...
I should go start deciding what I want to store and what I want to ship, difficult choices...

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

I want a puppy...

This is my puppy...er, the puppy I wish was mine...
When I grow up this is my dog, after I move somewhere where it is not warm every day...
Summer school is tiring... but I'll survive...
Today I went from PE to home for 5 minutes to get ready for a dentist appointment, to the appointment, to volunteering at the library, to voice, to town center, and finally back home. Now I am searching for puppies... :)

Tuesday, June 10, 2008

I am Full...

If anyone knows the "full song" I would love the lyrics and tune right now so I can sing it...

Sunday-
Driving was hot and boring but now I am DONE with Drivers Ed FOREVER!!!!! Then I got to see Prince Caspian. I really liked the movie, it wasn't perfect, but it was fun to watch and remained interesting for the 2 and a half hours I watched it for, give or take some time...

Today, Monday-
I did nothing, picked up sister from Summer School, did nothing, picked other sister up from school. Then we went to take passport pictures, and then to drop off our old rocking horse. We then traveled to Borders, walked around the mall and then went to Cattlemen's (which is why I am very very full). I drove to Home Depot and then home. It is going to be a long week.

Tommorow-
I start PE summer school, again. I can't believe I need 1 and 1/2 credits of PE. I thought I was done with it after summer school freshman year... it will give me something to do, although I don't know how I will be able to handle sitting there and taking health when there are other things I want to do... that are, um, NOT sitting in a classroom for 5 hours... :)

Sunday, June 8, 2008

My hair and eyes are getting lighter...

It now feels like summer. Thursday I just sat and cleaned my room and went and drove around. Friday was spent avoiding children, I went to Ironman with some friends, pretty good movie except the whole setting-it-up-for-a-sequel thing. Then came Ziggys, where everyone gets all dressed up in pretty dresses and goes to the Tri-School awards night. Last year I felt closer to the cast, but this year was well set up with games and such. I had fun. Saturday went by fast, I had a library orientation meeting then I went driving, and at 2 I went to see Nim's Island, which was very well done and I really liked it. Then it was onward to the NEX and then Borders where I got the best music book ever and Eclipse! After that, we went home changed and saw the producers, which was long but funny. Knowing people in the cast is always a plus. : ) Today I have driving for 3 hours!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH! Oh well, I have no choice. But then I get to see Ryan (yes I am tired of calling you someone, be grateful, I could call you Bob)! Now excuse me, I want pancakes...

I will always enjoy failing at bowling as long as I bowl with who I bowled with today...

Tired...

Sleeping is wanted by me...
Long day with spanish test and not much else.... missing the seniors...
Went to voice, where I disocvered I owned at spotlight scoring way higher than last year!
Got another dress for Zizzy's, one that actually fits and is purty and blue and shiny...
Now, I am tired...and want to go finish reading the ten books at my bedside...

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

Busy busy bee...

I feel like I am running around like crazy and never stop moving, but really I have been running around doing nothing! Except for possibly failing my math final... and tomorrow I get to take my Spanish final! Yay! (sarcasm should be noted)...

But I saw CHEVY! I saw him at the library and was like CHEVY! This year has gone by so fast, it doesn't seem like it has really been a year since last year. Each day lasts an eternity usually, some go by too fast, but in general time flies... I want it back so I can run around a little bit longer...

Monday, June 2, 2008

Wow...

Lately I have been over crazy... Not much school left, people are driving me nuts, people are leaving...

Wed-
To those where there for my mental breakdown, I apologize profusely, I was really feeling the whole moving and leaving everything feeling and, quite honestly, I did not know how to handle it. Babysitting was good, it is always fun to watch a kid who is so similar to you, playing princess and watching Annie...

Thurs-
More of people driving me nuts... but after school I had one drivers ed after another, ick, after i had another project meeting where there was lots of stressing out, some of which was not needed... But I did get to see "someone" for a minute which made my day much better. I don't think people realize how they affect me...

Fri-
Awesome day! I got thrown out of class and got to wander for a while while the class signed a book for me! :) Then I had a good math test *crosses fingers* and got to present my personal interest project after school... Then I got to see the new Indiana Jones movie, pretty good I thought...

Sat-
I did not do much, went driving and to Costco... Made a lei for graduation...then babysat again... which was fun...

Sun-
Huge breakfast at Big City Diner and then I finished my lei and went to graduation... I wanted to sit with my mom so I kinda ditched my friends which I feel bad about... but graduation was pretty well organized and sorta fun to watch... afterwards i had a great time passing out leis and talking to people... they all looked amazing and seemed, older... :) They all rock!

The Good Comes With the Bad...

Sunday night was nice, I like getting coffee with people I enjoy talking to and being with...

Monday was pretty awesome, we went to the Missouri, the Air Museum and the Bowfin... cool stuff. I think it is awesome that there are so many people willing to serve the country from such cramped places...

Tuesday was a good day in all, but I hate the fact that it was the Senior's last day, not only because they don't have to come to class, but that I am going to miss them, but I am glad I still have a month to spend with them, so it isn't really that final... but it still hurts...

Monday, May 26, 2008

Busy...

Yesterday was pretty cool, I got to meet my dad's old neighbors..very cool people, really nice and then I went to Spotlight!

This year I wasn't as hyped as last year, It was the same way as Cinderella, maybe cause it's not new to me anymore, I don't know... But I got a Ruby! YAY! and Category winner! APA got so many awards! Shelby and Shelby owned! I give them major major smiley points! lol...do not ask me what those are, I just made them up. Lexi was singing "On My Own" and made me cry, she is SO GOOD! And of course the usual Colby and Shyanne won their diamonds, but this year was Lexi's first and he sang so well with so much emotion, it was just amazing...

Today I have been cleaning and working on tons of homework!!!! ARG! Don't teachers realize they can let up on the load cause the year is almost done?! Oh well, only English homework left...

Saturday, May 24, 2008

I'll make this short...

I have to get ready for SPOTLIGHT so I am going to have to make this short...

Thursday...
After school I had a meeting for our English project, went VERY well... we actually got stuff done! Then I went to the awards assembly and got Outstanding Social Studies student! Woot! But actually, I don't know why, my essay this year about two major national problems was really bad, I wrote about standarized education and the lack of support for military efforts...

Friday...
Was a very long day for me but it went by fast... I had school and then after that I got to sit and talk to "someone" (Happy? I put someone in quotes for you) for an hour which was nice, but really made me realize how much I am going to miss people when I leave... Then I had Drivers Ed, where we were working on turns and I ran over a dead bird, at least I hope it was already dead... and I am never going to be allowed to forget that... Then I had a final spotlight rehearsal, so I hope I am ready... And then on the way home, we stopped to make an appointment to get my hair cut and ended up doing it right then and then going to Ross and finding a Ziggys dress for me... its a purty light blue color, but it is reallybig so we will have to take it in... then I went to sleep...

Saturday...
I have to go downtown to visit Dad's old neighbors and then perform at Spotlight! Wish me luck! We start at 6:05, and I am already all ready (mentally, I am not even out of my PJs physically)! Oh! And we get TEAM JACKETS! Mines a little small, they got the sizes mixed up, but it looks SO COOL! Ok, I'm going now... Wish me luck!

Rain...

It was perfectly sunny this morning, what happened?! Ah, I don't mind, I love the rain. I love the puddles and the raindrops and rain in people's hair and the smell of rain...everything about it...

Yay! For chemistry! And understanding it! And for cutting Styrofoam with a hot wire machine!

I actually want to go back to school to be with my friends and play in the rain...

Bring on the rain!

I wonder why people dislike the rain, all it does is get you wet, how is that any different from swimming? What they do need to make are waterproof books so I can sit and read in the rain without worrying about ruining my books...

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

Being sick is bad...

Even though I am sick I can still belt a high D! :) But I feel really bad about sneezing and coughing on people all day... so yeah...

I have finished my English archery presentation so now there is only one left and that is pretty much the end of any hard work for this school year... It is kinda scary that it is the end of the year. It went by so fast. At times I thought it was not so great, the good things completely outweigh the bad, as much as I love to complain, I am still alive and doing fine....so that must mean something. I give props to everyone who has almost finished school, school is hard. But there are fun things, friends, parties (like the awesome one we had today...lots of junk food and only 10 people!), drama, recess, and lunch, and learning something new and releavant.

Driving is good, i just hate having people point out every sign and every mistake and every imaginary situation possible..lol... well, goodnight all, I am going to sleep and look forward to a fairly stress free day tomorrow...

Tuesday, May 20, 2008

What if I do know what I want...

Today I woke up with a sore throat and the first thing I thought was "I seriously hope that I am better by Saturday..." My second thought was that I was going to spread my icky germs and get other people sick, despite whatever they think. Chemistry was confusing but I get it now so that makes me happy, English test on Othello went....okay... (I laugh in the face of danger...Hahaha!) I am doing alright in Spanish, and math too, despite my lovely grade on the test... And History, well, it is awesome right now because we sit there for an hour playing with flour! :)

I spent the day thinking bout what someone said to me today, "what do you want?" What they were really asking, I don't know and I probably should have; but I thought about the question. And what if I do know what I want, does that help me at all? What if i know what i want but also know i can't have it? What if I think I have what I want, but don't know how to handle it? I really should stop all this thinking, it makes me sound all emo and depressed... and I'm not, I am constantly singing and skipping and dancing in circles and being really hyper... ya, I don't think I'm emo. Maybe I am when I'm sick though... I think its the weather that's really messing with me...

And my falling in the ditch was totally not the fault of anyone but me... I should have stepped away from the ditch instead of in it... :)

I want to write a letter, but in the times of blogs and email, it is not very practical... But writing with a great pen on stationery and then sealing it with wax and seal is so much better than email, well, I don't know... both have their uses...

I want to go shooting with a bow and arrow... there is something so rewarding about hearing the arrow hit the target...

I want to be done with homework, so I better go start on it now...
:)

The Weekend of many days...

This weekend seems like it is one hundred days packed into one!

On Friday, I had a dress rehearsal for Spolight... crazy talented people are performing... really fun to watch...

Saturday, I woke up got my yearbook went down to this free day at the marina, went to my sister's ballet recietal and then went to the tack meet, where they did an AWESOME job! The track people are amazing, what they do is mindblowing and they do not even know it, they run as fast as cars...wow.... and they just make it look so easy...

Today isn't even over yet and I have already done drivers ed and now I am off to babysit... and then finish my project and my essay... i am telling you, English will be the death of me!

Saturday, May 17, 2008

I am impatient...

Too often I find myself not knowing what I want or knowing exactly what I want but being afraid to get it, never the less i want things to happen... I want to go places and see things, but am afraid to miss out on other things. So i am impatient and indecisive, great qualities, i know. Aint I fantastic.

Today I woke up feeling good about having everything done, AP stuff and homework that was due. Then I froze in English and had to listen to complainers. Recess was good, math test was bad, lunch was good, science was boring and history was trying. This was all topped off by having flour thrown at me and falling in a ditch because i have absolutely no balance.

I miss drama, and the feeling i get when i go up there and put on a good show... like i am doing something worthwhile. I need that feeling and I don't get it often enough. It seems that most of high school is pointless busy work. I am fine with learning about history and math, but what we are doing with it seems pointless to me. Chemistry is the only class I enjoy, everything we do in there has a point and i can see that point because everywhere you look there is Chemistry, but seriously, when does one see imaginary numbers in the real world.

Friday, May 16, 2008

Tomorrow marks two months left...

Today was forever long, AP test and then a strange assembly...
High Schoolers are a scary species...
As I was telling my friends watching the lipsynch with me, if spazzing out in time to music makes you cool, well, darn it, I am cool too! Lol. :)
English will be the death of me now that AP is pretty much done, I have tons of stuff to do for my archery project and have not even touched the stuff for the project on 19th century Bristish lit. Ew.
